How did you get started with bodybuilding?

It started when I was 15 and took my first job at a local fitness facility. I fell in love with weight training and the rest is history!

How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?

I am motivated by my clients and my family. I think it is very important to be your very best and do your very best not only for you but for the ones watching you. I have a 4 year old, he is always watching me..and I try to remember that.

What is your training routine like?

I work out with weights 5 days weekly.
My splits are: Lower body glute/quad, back/biceps, shoulders/abs, lower body hamstring/glute, chest/triceps/shoulders.

If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

  1. Pullups – Nothing has built my back better than a wide variety of pullups!
  2. Squat – You can work your legs/butt very differently with different foot positions and weight ranges-the squat is very versatile!
  3. Pushup – It’s all about variety! I know I can hit my entire upper body-triceps, shoulders, chest and even biceps with pushups and hand/body positioning.

What is your favourite form of cardio?

I love sprints and stadiums-anything that gets me outside!

What is your diet like?

I personally follow a fasting protocol daily. I do not eat from 10pm to 10am daily-this works for me because I run a little later than some people with my daily schedule. I also do not do most grains with oat flour (that I make myself) being the only exception. I aim to keep my diet balanced and try not to lean in any one direction too extremely but I DO consistently maintain my protein intake at 1-1.5g per pound of bodyweight.

What supplements do you use?
