How did you get started with bodybuilding?

I started getting into lifting and supplementation when I was in the Air Force. My family is naturally very thin and eating everything in sight did nothing but make me gain weight in all the wrong places.

I got my personal training certification and took nutrition courses and I was hooked ever since!

How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?

Being in the fitness modeling industry I never know when a photographer/magazine will contact me for a shoot. Sometimes I only have a few days notice so I don’t get to slack off very often. Knowing this, I make sure I always am on my A game in the gym and with my diet.

What is your training routine like?

  • Monday: Shoulders
  • Tuesday: Hamstrings
  • Wednesday: Triceps and biceps
  • Thursday: Chest
  • Friday: Quadriceps
  • Saturday: Back

I do abs at home every other day and don’t do much cardio. If I do, I’ll do stairmaster for 45 minutes.

If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

  1. Squats – It’s one of the best exercises to build glutes and legs
  2. Shoulder press – I love having nice rounded shoulders and this is the best to build size
  3. Seated row – Having a toned muscular back is much more attractive to me than just seeing a spine and rib cage

What is your favourite form of cardio?

Lately I’ve been hooked on the stairmaster. Anything that helps build glutes I’m all about.

What is your diet like?

I eat very clean, hence why I don’t do much cardio. I weigh and measure everything.

  • Proteins – Chicken, eggs, turkey bacon, ground turkey breast
  • Carbs – Ezekiel bread, oats, quinoa, rice
  • Fats – Avocado, coconut oil, olive oil, almonds
  • Sugars – I only add dark chocolate chips to my protein pancakes I have sometimes. I typically don’t have sugar
