How did you get started with bodybuilding/fitness?
I worked in a clothing store and my manager at the time competed in bodybuilding competitions. I was really inspired by her dedication and passion for the sport so one year later I decided to prep for my first show!
How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?
Knowing that with hard work I can continuously get better and I have the power to make that happen.
What is your training routine like?
I weight train 5 days a week and do cardio when prepping! I like to hit each body part two to three times a week as I feel it’s important when trying to build muscle.
What are your three favourite exercises?
Dumbbell lateral raises, rear cable flyes and I have found a new found love for back squat! (It was a love hate relationship for quite some time).
What is your favourite form of cardio?
I really love to walk outdoors but I usually will hit the stairmaster or treadmill when prepping.
What is your diet like?
I now follow a paleo based diet which means I don’t eat grains. In my first year of competing I typically ate oats, rice, white meat and vegetables but now I am a little more flexible but stick to whole foods!
What supplements do you use?
I have 1-2 protein shakes a day to make sure I hit my protein goal and also satisfy any sweet tooth I may have and then glutamine, omega 3, probiotics and creatine!
What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness industry?
I was really proud when I came 4th at the WBFF European PRO/AM show in London as it was my first show. I did go on to win my next two which was amazing but you will never forget the first time you are on stage after months of working really hard! I am excited to see what 2018 brings. 🙂
