How did you get started with bodybuilding?

It started very slow. I was overweight and letting myself go after I had my two children. It got to the point where I just wasn’t happy. I started going to the gym, not having a clue what to do but researched workouts and asked my fitness friends questions and eventually got the hang of it and ended up falling in love with lifting weights.

It is a true passion of mine now and it all led to me competing in bodybuilding shows. Something I never imagined would be possible!

How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?

Inspiring others, especially moms, is what drives me! My biggest goal is to run a fit mom bootcamp one day and train my own clients. Surrounding myself with others who have a passion for health and fitness is what keeps me motivated!

What is your training routine like?

  • Monday: Legs
  • Tuesday: Shoulders
  • Wednesday: Back
  • Thursday: Cardio
  • Friday: Bis and Tris
  • Saturday: Legs/Plyo

I train Abs/Obliques a little every day as well as light cardio.

If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

  1. Weighted Walking Lunges – Great for a full leg/glute workout.
  2. Weighted Stick Turns – Works your whole core and obliques.
  3. Plate Raises – I love shoulders and this is one of my favorite exercises for them! They also work your core. 🙂

What is your favourite form of cardio?

Step mill moderate pace for steady state or Tabata for HIIT.

What is your diet like?

My diet is always changing depending on current goals. I stick to old school eating clean. Lots of fish and veggies and some red meat and chicken too. I do eat carbs and sometimes I carb cycle. 6-8 meals a day! (or basically, I do what my trainer tells me to hah!)

What supplements do you use?

I take B-complex, St. Johns Wort, BCAAs, and glutamine. Extra Vitamin C too when I need it!

What are the highlights of your fitness career?

My fitness career is just beginning, but so far the most exciting thing has been stepping on stage! I never imagined taking it to this level and it has just been so fun and empowering!

Getting to train with my amazing Trainer, Mike O’Hearn, has been life changing for me as well! Very excited for my future in the fitness world!
