How did you get started with bodybuilding?
Before I started with bodybuilding I was a track and field champion at 400 meters with hurdles. Two years ago, because of a surgery on my leg I couldn’t perform 100% and reach my goals, that’s why I decided to stop. Of course bodybuilding was already in my mind and I wanted to get started with it when I would stop competing in track and field. So two years ago I competed in my first contest.
How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?
I was always fascinated by my fit image and with weight training. As I said I had it on my mind for many years to start training. Having learned from a very young age to be a competitive athlete, I wanted something more than just working out with weights!
Seeing how I evolve through weight training and reaching my goals, makes me even more motivated!
What is your training routine like?
I like to train one muscle group per day and in general I like to do high reps. Of course there is my off-season where I train very heavy! It depends on how I feel and in what phase I’m in, whether in prep or not.
If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be?
If I had to choose 3 exercises, definitely the first exercise would be for shoulders. I really like training shoulders a lot and my first exercise would be dumbbell lateral raises, drop set. Second exercise would be leg press and the third would be any exercise for back.
What is your favourite form of cardio?
I like to do cardio on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes and occasionally I’ll do HIIT.
What is your diet like?
My diet consists mainly of chicken, potatoes and rice.
What supplements do you use?
The supplements I use are protein, BCAAs, aminos during training, glutamine, CLA, creatine, multi-vitamin and nitric oxide.
What are your future goals
My main goal is to compete abroad and eventually get my pro card!
