How did you get started with bodybuilding?
Kind of random actually, I was approached by a local supplement shop owner who offered to sponsor me to compete into my first show. At that point I had been training for about 8 years just for the love of training. However I never wanted to do bodybuilding so when he mentioned “Men’s Physique” I was like what’s that then he showed me a few pics and also what it was about and was on stage three weeks later.
Then I had the “itch” to continue to get better and better and improve upon my physique and the natural competitiveness came out as I grew up an athlete playing football, baseball, soccer and basketball.
What keeps you motivated?
What keeps me motivated, as I mentioned above I grew up playing sports so I’ve always been competitive! So the motivation to always prove to myself my best is always motivation enough.
What is your current workout routine?
Currently in off season, and building my back is my main goal this off season. Which makes my split something like this.
- Day 1: Back / Traps
- Day 2: Legs (Heavy hamstring focus)
- Day 3: Chest / Triceps
- Day 4: Back / Biceps
- Day 5: Legs / Traps (Heavy quad focus)
- Day 6: Rest day
- Day 7: Shoulders
If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?
Only three… Well if I have to pick, I would choose these three for many reasons but these should be everyone’s staples for building a solid frame and factional at the same time. Plus the first two heavy mass builders focus mainly on the legs and create massive calorie demands on the body!

- Push ups into pull ups
