How did you get started with bodybuilding?
I fell in love with weight training at a very young age. My first experience with weight training was around 8-9 years old. When I was young I constantly got into trouble and my Mother would send me to my room as punishment. To pass the time, I started doing pushups and situps for hours and instantly became addicted. I remember how great it made me feel and loved the sense of control and power I felt as I started seeing results. I continued on with weight training thru my wrestling career.
After college I was approached at the gym by a female IFBB Pro named Carmella and she told me about the Men’s Physique Division and basically pushed me out on stage. That was the beginning of my bodybuilding career and it changed my life forever.
What keeps you motivated?
The will to win, the desire to succeed, and the urge to reach my full potential.
What is your current workout routine?
I don’t follow a specific exercise routine. My current training split is Chest / Back / Legs / Arms / Shoulders. I rely on my intuition and instincts to guide me thru each workout. I train to absolute muscle failure on at least one set per exercise, and always incorporate techniques like drop sets, negative reps, partial reps, rest/pause, and forced reps.

If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?
I’m sure everyone has trouble answering this question. If I had to build my best physique using only three exercises, I would choose: squats, dips, pullups. Squats are the king of all exercises, dips and pullups are excellent upper body exercises and have variations that allow you to stimulate and isolate different muscles.
Competition history:
I have taken 1st Place in the Georgia State Championships and the Coastal USA’s. I placed 16th at the Nationals two years ago. I took some time off to make improvements and will be competing on February 7th at the LA Fit Expo with 4 other guys for a chance to become the next Bodybuilding.com BodySpace Spokesmodel.
What is your favourite form of cardio?
Spin bike or jump rope

What is your diet like?
I control the types, timing, and amount of carbs I consume on a daily basis. I don’t track macros or count calories. I follow a carb cycle program called, “The Burn Cycle”.
