When did you find your passion for bodybuilding?

It all started for me when I was 15 years old watching guys like Hulk Hogan and Randy Macho Man Savage on TV, also Stallone and Arnold in the movies these guys had great charismas, attitude and bodies that just every guy wanted to be like. I felt a huge connection with these guys and my goal at that time was to develop a perfect body and to create this Superman inside and out.

I started to lift weights on my 15th birthday. My sister bought me a weight set then one week later I saved up my birthday and Christmas money and bought myself a bench to go with it. The rest is history!

Where does your motivation come from?

I have to say I’ve been a very motivated individual my entire life I’ve always wanted to be the best at anything I did, I didn’t care if I won or lost as long as I was the one that people admired.

I wanted to stand out to make a difference to change people’s lives and to be remembered forever that was my motivation then and it’s still my motivation today.

What workout routine has worked best for you?

When it comes to training and dieting I keep it really simple I don’t believe in all these idiot diets and training routines that are on the internet and in the magazines as it’s just something different for whoever is too bored to workout. Building muscle is very simple, you train, you eat clean, you don’t abuse your body with drugs, alcohol and tobacco and you sleep.

Then you get up and you do it again that’s how it’s done! I train 5 days a week with weights, abs every other day and a little cardio daily.

If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

I would choose the 3 exercises that would benefit your body’s symmetry and overall balance so it would be bench press, pull ups and squats. Bench press not only works your chest muscles it also helps build your upper body, pull-ups because they work your lats to develop that awesome V-Taper and squats because there the best exercise for building the entire leg.

What is your favourite form of cardio?

I have a studio where I train people here in Queens New York and I have an elliptical that I use daily. I love the elliptical but dancing and swimming would be the best forms of cardio.

What is your approach to nutrition?

I’m a big believer in eating healthy all the time your body doesn’t take a vacation it’s in constant need of the right nutrients in vitamins, minerals and macro nutrients to help, grow, repair or just exist.

I have a saying “if God made it use it, if man made it lose it” this simply means eating everything in its natural state and everything that God created is meant for us to eat, whatever man created for us to eat is usually for our harm because it is loaded with preservatives, chemicals and what I call “dead calories”.

Which nutritional supplements do you use?

I’m not that big on supplements but I do take a multi vitamin each day along with extra vitamin C and D. I also drink whey protein powder so I know I have enough protein to recover from my constant training and work which takes a lot out on my body.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness industry?

I’m still accomplishing all my goals even today but the biggest achievement in the fitness industry for me is just inspiring others to be the best they can to be remembered as someone who lifted spirits and changed people’s lives forever. That my friends is the greatest accomplishment of all.

What are your best 3 tips you would give to someone who is trying to reach their goal physique?

1. Train Smart: It’s one thing to go to the gym and kill yourself but if you’re using bad form and not training smart you will find yourself with some serious injuries very quickly.

2. Eat Smart: You can’t just train and then eat pizza or fast food you have to understand that diet is 80% if not more of your success.

3. Think Smart: I didn’t build my body with just iron and might I built it with extreme focus and visualization. I’ve always said “you can’t fly like an eagle, if you think like a chicken” you have to have the right train of thought to build your body and your life. Hang around dream builders not dream breakers and stay focused on the prize, always!
