How did you get started with bodybuilding?
I started lifting weights in 2011 after I underwent a back surgery replacing my L5/S1 disc. I was forced to learn how to make my body function again, but in a different way to protect my new artificial disc. Such little things as walking, bathing, and getting out of a chair seemed impossible for me.
How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?
It’s pretty easy for me to stay motivated, because I can quickly look back at the life I used to live and remind myself that I never want to feel so useless and lost again. I found the love of oneself and that is the best gift I’ve ever been given.

What is your training routine like?
I focus on each muscle group starting always with an upper body group followed by a lower body group the following day. My training changes weekly from using bands for heavy overloads, low sets with high reps, switching from close grips to wide grips.
I just make sure my body never knows what’s coming and for my training workout to never be easy.
If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?
I would choose Reverse Hyper Extension, Deadlift and Bent-Over Barbell Row. I chose these three exercises because they are the number one staple in my training due to my back surgery. Each one of these plays an important role for me staying stable and sound in my daily life.

What is your favourite form of cardio?
I love Taebo, Kickboxing and Yoga “yes I use yoga as my form of cardio”
What is your diet like?
My diet consists of a few different food groups starting with
- High protein such as: steak, eggs, chicken, salmon, ground beef, ground turkey, and of course ground pork.
- Whole grains such as: oatmeal, brown rice and Ezekiel bread.
- Vegetables: potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, squash, zucchini, spinach, and kale.
- Snacks can range from celery and peanut butter, fruit, yogurt, nuts, protein shake, and beef jerky.

What supplements do you use?
Daily supplements are: Vitamin D3, Magnesium, Probiotic, and also the following from Serious Nutrition Solutions: Cissus XT, Glycophase, Thyrocaps and Yohimbine 2.5.
What are the highlights of your fitness career?
In 2014 I competed in three different powerlifting events starting with a Bench only meet and brought home first place, I then went into a sanctioned full power meet and again brought home first place and won my very first sponsorship with Bossbody, following my full power meet I finished the season with a push/pull meet and again brought home first place and also Best Lifter Award. Just this year 2015, I was asked to sign on with SNS “Serious Nutrition Solutions” and have worked side by side with this company and Bossbody as we prepared for 8 months going into my first meet of 2015 which was a sanctioned full power meet.
I took home first place in my weight class and again received the Best Lifter Award. These four events are my highlights in my daily training and motivate me to get better each and EVERYTIME.
