How did you get started with bodybuilding?

What started as a fun hobby turned into a life-saving form of therapy. At a young age I discovered the mental and physical benefits of training. I understood working out was a pleasure and not a punishment. In every training session I focused on letting it all out through the physical outlet of my movements. I yelled, I laughed, I cried but most importantly, I left stronger than I came in. Working out became my chance to shut out the world and concentrate on myself and how strong I could be.

I would push my limits in those workouts and leave feeling accomplished and powerful, which would translate to my life outside of the gym.

How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?

Once I discovered these effective channels to let out all the negative energy through my training, I began feeling strong for the first time in my life. After years of growing stronger inside and out, I became empowered by every problem I faced. Each problem gave me a chance to challenge my strength and ability to overcome barriers. I feel so strongly about how fitness has changed my life that I want it to do the same for everyone else. I want to share it with as many people as possible and help them change their lives, too. I want to change the reputation fitness has received: Working out is not a punishment, it’s a pleasure.

I know what it feels like to start from the bottom, what it feels like to want to quit (both in fitness and life) and feel like you’re not good enough, strong enough or worthy enough. I felt it all and I’m driven everyday to help those not only in sports but those living an ordinary life unveil their strength, power and ultimately hidden reserves.

What is your training routine like?

I’ve specialized in Hybrid Training for the past few years, this form of training encompasses all styles of training from big staple lifts to isolation exercises, balance, mobility, and speed. Unlike standard gym exercises, hybrid training keeps my body guessing, wondering what’s going to happen next.

If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

  1. Deadlift: As the king of mass gaining exercises the deadlift will contribute to more strength and size gain than any other exercise targeting every single muscle in the human body.
  2. Sprints: High intensity intervals are most efficient in improving endurance while not sacrificing hard earned mass.
  3. Power Cleans: They enhance multiple athletic attributes: quickness, coordination, foot speed, balance and timing—all of which are most useful to all athletes, regardless of what sport they play.

What is your favourite form of cardio?

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

What is your diet like?

Flexible: It changes from season to season. I naturally eat more in the winter. I always have a protein in every meal. Carbs and fats vary, I listen to my body and fuel it accordingly to how I feel on a daily basis.

Establishing my company and positively impacting thousands of lives. I’ve taught women all over the world how to regain their confidence and get in control of their life using fitness as their tool. I’ve also made an impact with the male population but generally more with women.
