How did you get started with bodybuilding?

I started doing bodybuilding (natural – drugs free) over 18 years ago at 16 years old because I was rehabilitating after femur bone surgery and I could not play any sports. My genetics suits well for bodybuilding so I’ve never left it since then.

What keeps you motivated?

Streaming for perfection is what keeps me motivated. Perfection is elusive and makes you work hard.

What is your current workout routine?

Currently I train 4 times per week. I split my routine into pushing/extending and pulling/curling movements. I do it on Monday and Tuesday, then I have one or two days rest and repeat it again. My workouts combine compound and isolation resistance exercises. I use cardio only to warm up.

If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?

Powerlifting consists of 3 exercises for a reason. Squats, bench press and dead lifts cover pretty much all muscle groups and are the most hardcore compound movements.

What is your favourite form of cardio?

Cycling, basketball, MMA.

What is your diet like?

As I stay with a balanced diet as my goal is maintenance. I keep my calories at the maintenance level too.

What supplements do you use?

I use whey protein, creatine and BCAAs.

What are your best 3 tips you would give to someone who is trying to reach their goal physique?

Success in bodybuilding, as well as life in general, depends on consistency, patience and hard work. There are no magic tips.
