Build A Chest Like A Champ! 5 Exercises You Must Do! – Written By Anthony Catanzaro

Having well rounded shaped pectorals that are perfect in size shape and dimension is crucial in developing a champion physique. Every guy in the gym wants a champion chest but many of them are wasting their time doing the same old routine, using fancy machines that don’t build muscle.

Well never fear the “Superman of Fitness” is here with 5 exercises you must do in order to have one of the most awesome developed chest in the gym.

Exercise #1: Barbell Incline Bench Press

I know a lot of guys start with flat barbell or dumbbell first but this is a big mistake since mostly every guy in the gym will have a decent lower chest but a weak flat upper chest.. every guy but me! I always start with incline and devote a lot to building the upper chest. Do 4 sets of 10,8,6,4

Exercise #2: Flat Dumbbell Bench Press

The next movement is flat dumbbell presses to really engage all the fibers in the chest by getting a good stretch on the way down you should always incorporate both barbell and dumbbell pressing movements in your chest workout. Do 4 sets of 10,8,6,4

Exercise #3: Incline Dumbbell Fly’s

Now it’s on to incline dumbbells fly’s entire incline movements should be done at an angle of 35 to 45 degrees (no higher) otherwise you will be working your shoulders. When doing the flies keep a nice arch in your back, bend your elbows take a deep breath on the way down and a big exhale on the way up. Also I find that there is no need to squeeze the dumbbells together as this also aggravates the shoulders, keep them about 8 inches apart at the top. Do 4 sets of 10,8,6,4

Exercise #4: Flat Dumbbell Fly’s

(Follow the same as incline dumbbell fly’s above)

Exercise #5: Dumbbell Bench Pullovers

This is an old exercise you don’t see much at all anymore and if you do it’s being done incorrectly. This is my favorite exercise for chest because it really opens up the rib cage and brings everything up. It also helps with your posture which is very important all around. To do this exercise correctly lay the opposite way on a flat bench make sure your head is almost off the bench grab the dumbbell over lapping your hands in a diamond shape bend your elbows slight and lower the weight below your head inhaling and then raise the weight over your chest exhaling. Do 4 sets of 12, 10, 8, 6

Well there you have it! A champion chest workout designed for growth and perfection. It’s time to stay away from those fancy machines and get back to what works!
